iRhythm settles $45M securities lawsuit over alleged false statements on heart monitor device

iRhythm Technologies and its CEO have agreed to a $45 million settlement in a class action lawsuit alleging they made false and misleading statements about the company's Zio AT heart monitoring device between July 2022 and August 2024. The U.S. District Court for Northern California approved the proposed settlement, which will resolve claims against the company and CEO Quentin Blackford if finalized. A settlement hearing is scheduled for November 5, 2026, to determine approval of the settlement, attorneys' fees, and other related matters. Investors who purchased iRhythm stock during the class period may be eligible to claim a share of the settlement fund by October 1, 2026.
