KraneShares Public-Private AI & Technology ETF (CHAT) and Roundhill Generative AI & Technology ETF (AGIX) provide broad exposure to the AI ecosystem but differ in holdings and risk profiles. Since AGIX's inception, CHAT has outperformed by about 60%, with its median holding up 56% this year compared to AGIX's 45%, largely driven by memory stocks. However, AGIX holds about 3% in SpaceX, while CHAT has around 7% in Chinese companies, posing delisting and sanctions risks. The analyst prefers AGIX due to expected outperformance by U.S. AI labs and lower geopolitical risks, despite CHAT's better past performance and higher fees. Both ETFs are expected to benefit from ongoing technology growth.
