Sanofi has decided to stop the clinical development of amlitélimab, an antibody for moderate to severe atopic dermatitis, after strategic review showed insufficient efficacy and safety benefits. Despite some positive long-term results from the phase 3 ESTUARY study, amlitélimab does not significantly improve current standard treatments. Sanofi will close ongoing studies carefully and continue pursuing advances in inflammatory skin disease treatments. Financial forecasts for 2026 remain unchanged.
