Ripple Payments Europe has been added to the European MiCA register, joining 14 other firms and bringing the total number of authorized crypto asset service providers in Europe to 294. This authorization, granted by Luxembourg’s financial regulator CSSF, allows Ripple to operate as a regulated payments entity across the European Economic Area with passporting rights covering 30 countries. The license complements Ripple’s existing electronic money institution license in Luxembourg, enabling seamless crypto and fiat transactions for banks, fintechs, and corporates. While this regulatory progress strengthens Ripple’s infrastructure in Europe, it has not yet impacted XRP’s market price significantly. The license also positions Ripple to potentially launch its stablecoin RLUSD as a fully regulated product in Europe, although no official announcement has been made yet.
