United Airlines receives first Airbus A321XLR with new Pratt & Whitney GTF Advantage engines.

United Airlines has taken delivery of its first Airbus A321XLR aircraft powered by Pratt & Whitney's new GTF Advantage engines. These engines offer enhanced durability, up to twice the time on wing compared to previous models, and 4-8% more takeoff thrust, enabling longer flight ranges. The GTF Advantage engines are also fully compatible with current GTF engines, simplifying fleet operations. Pratt & Whitney plans to transition all PW1100G-JM engine production to this new standard by 2028, with upgrade options available for existing engines starting early next year.

United Airlines Holdings Inc (UAL) shares are trading at USD 109.30 as of Sep 24, 2026 17:11 WIB, down 1.28% for the day. This price is closer to its 52-week low of USD 85.21 than its 52-week high of USD 136.11, reflecting a moderate position within its yearly range. On Pluang, the current order activity is fully on the sell side, indicating cautious sentiment among investors despite the news about Pratt & Whitney's new engine delivery to United Airlines.
