Malaysian court targets Seamless Group's Tranglo shares over $24M unpaid XRP invoices

A Malaysian court has issued a charging order on 100,465 Tranglo shares owned by Seamless Group as part of Ripple's effort to collect $23.95 million in unpaid XRP invoices. The High Court of Malaya made the order absolute on October 1, covering Seamless' 60% stake in Tranglo. Ripple may seek to sell these shares starting October 7 to recover the debt. This enforcement follows a Singapore court judgment related to unpaid invoices issued to Hong Kong remittance firm GEA in 2022 and 2023. The unpaid principal amounts to nearly $24 million, excluding late fees. Seamless had agreed to sell its Tranglo stake for $400 million, but the deal's completion status is unclear as of the September 30 deadline. Tranglo operates in cross-border payments, and Ripple uses XRP to facilitate international transfers.

XRP's market cap stands at Rp1.560,62 trillion as of October 9, 2026, with a 24-hour trading volume of Rp49,99 trillion on Pluang. The token's price is Rp24.689, showing a 1.64% increase in the last day, while buy orders dominate at 69%. This trading activity occurs as Ripple pursues legal action related to unpaid invoices totaling nearly $24 million, highlighting ongoing financial disputes involving XRP's use in cross-border payments.
