EGLD withdrawals remain blocked on major exchanges after MultiversX chain halt, risking liquidity and trading.

After the MultiversX blockchain halted on September 19 due to a technical fault, major exchanges like Bitvavo and Binance have yet to reopen native EGLD token withdrawals, though the chain resumed on September 24. Binance only allows withdrawals via the BNB Smart Chain, which carries higher fees and risks, while Kraken has resumed normal trading and withdrawals. Upbit, the largest EGLD market in Korea, has placed caution labels on EGLD trading pairs and will decide by October 23 whether to continue trading. This ongoing exchange delay risks liquidity and price stability for EGLD holders, especially in Europe. Investors are advised to check their exchange's withdrawal status and consider moving assets to self-custody wallets to avoid exchange control risks.

As of Oct 04, 2026 07:21 WIB, EGLD on Pluang trades at Rp81.067 with a 1-day gain of 1.43%, showing steady buying interest with 100% buy orders and a typical hold time of 85 days. Despite withdrawal freezes on major exchanges like Upbit, EGLD maintains a market cap of Rp2,51 trillion and a 24-hour volume of Rp76,42 million on Pluang. Meanwhile, BNB, which some exchanges use as an alternative withdrawal route, trades at Rp14.038.940 with a 2.15% daily increase. The ongoing exchange restrictions highlight the importance of liquidity and trading activity reflected in these platform figures.
