U.S. government moves $100M in Bitcoin and BNB, no sale confirmed

Wallets linked to the U.S. government transferred over $100 million in cryptocurrency on Tuesday, including about $71.6 million in Bitcoin and $31.6 million in BNB. The Bitcoin originated from seized funds in the Potapenko-Turogin and Bitfinex cases, while the BNB came from assets seized from Alameda Research. These transfers moved the crypto to Coinbase Prime deposit addresses but do not indicate a sale, as the government holds about $27.5 billion in seized crypto and follows a policy to hold Bitcoin in a Strategic Reserve. This move highlights ongoing government management of seized digital assets without using taxpayer money for new purchases.

Bitcoin and BNB are both down over 1.4% on Pluang, with Bitcoin priced at Rp1.504.994.376 and BNB at Rp13.754.635. The market shows a slight tilt towards selling, with 53% of Bitcoin orders and 60% of BNB orders being sell orders. These figures are as of Oct 07, 2026 13:21 WIB.
