Garmin Pilot app adds new Flights page, expands SmartCharts to Canada and Mexico, and updates Oshkosh FISK arrival features.

Garmin has updated its Pilot mobile app for Apple devices with a redesigned Flights page that integrates route planning, weight and balance, and fuel planning into one streamlined interface. The SmartCharts feature, a dynamic aviation charting tool, is expanding from the U.S. and Bahamas to include Canada and Mexico, adding features like Continuous Descent Final Approach and cold weather adjustments. Additionally, Garmin enhanced the Oshkosh FISK VFR Arrival procedure in its navigation database and SmartCharts to improve pilot briefing and navigation for the 2026 EAA AirVenture Oshkosh event. These updates aim to simplify flight planning and improve pilot confidence and safety.
