Garmin Pilot app adds Mobile Clearance Delivery for easier IFR clearances at select US airports

Garmin has introduced Mobile Clearance Delivery in its Garmin Pilot app for iOS, allowing pilots to obtain and cancel IFR clearances electronically at select U.S. airports. This feature reduces radio and phone communication with air traffic control, improves clarity, and saves time by delivering clearances directly in the app. Currently in testing at five airports, the service will expand nationwide through 2028. Future updates will enable pilots to cancel IFR clearances via the app, further streamlining operations at airports with limited tower hours.
