Ether supply on exchanges hits record low at 3.49%, limiting immediate trading availability.

The share of Ether (ETH) held on tracked exchanges has fallen to a record low of 3.49%, reducing the amount of ETH immediately available for trading or selling. Since June 1, this share has declined by 1.16%, reflecting that more ETH is held off exchanges by long-term holders, stakers, and decentralized finance protocols. Around 35% of ETH is staked, and $53 billion worth is locked in DeFi applications on Ethereum, keeping the asset active on-chain rather than on exchanges. Despite a recent price pullback from $2,800 to $2,660, network activity remains strong, with increased transaction fees indicating ongoing demand for block space. This combination suggests fewer ETH are readily available on exchanges while usage on the Ethereum network stays robust.

Ether supply on tracked exchanges is at a record low of 3.49%, contrasting with the strong market breadth among major cryptocurrencies on Pluang. As of Sep 25, 2026 16:21 WIB, 45 out of 50 major cryptocurrencies rose, with SNX up 10.55% but seeing 93% sell activity, while XLM and EGLD gained 9.88% and 9.54% respectively with more balanced sell/buy splits. This shows a mixed trading sentiment despite the low exchange availability of Ether.
