The partnership comes amid challenges for Indian IT firms from slowing client spending and rapid AI advances, with Infosys shares down over 22% this year. The deal also expands OpenAI's enterprise reach through Infosys' global client base, supporting a shift from AI experimentation to large-scale use. Infosys reported AI-related services generated about $267 million in revenue recently, highlighting its growing AI business.
