Monolithic Power Systems (MPS) won a patent infringement lawsuit filed by Bel Power Solutions in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas. The court ruled in favor of MPS, granting summary judgment of non-infringement on all six patent claims made by Bel Power. Additionally, four of Bel Power's patents were canceled after MPS initiated reexamination proceedings at the U.S. Patent Office. As part of the settlement, Bel Power agreed to pay MPS's court costs totaling $50,000.
