MetaMask exits 565,056 ETH from staking after Sept. 30 incident, with withdrawals taking weeks.

MetaMask began exiting 565,056 Ether (ETH) from staking following an infrastructure incident on September 30. This process involves 16,965 validators who are either exited or waiting in the Ethereum exit queue, which can take weeks due to network limits on validator transitions. MetaMask confirmed no immediate threat to wallets and that its staking is non-custodial. Lido expects the affected validators to leave the active set by October 7, but full withdrawal of ETH could take up to 45 days. The total value involved is roughly $5.04 billion, combining this exit with a backlog of other validators waiting to enter staking.

As of Oct 14, 2026 04:03 WIB, Ethereum (ETH) trades on Pluang at Rp44.950.412 with a slight 1-day decline of 0.10%. The market cap stands at Rp5.472,1 trillion, reflecting sustained investor interest despite recent validator exits. Pluang data shows a balanced order activity with 53% selling and 47% buying, and a typical hold time of 107 days, indicating steady engagement with ETH among users.
