South Korea's Upbit exchange has added Dogwifhat (WIF), a Solana-based memecoin, to its spot markets with trading pairs in Korean won (KRW), Bitcoin (BTC), and USDT. This listing expands Dogwifhat's access to one of Asia's most active retail crypto markets and has driven a 25% price increase shortly after launch. However, the token remains highly volatile and risky, typical of memecoins that rely on social hype rather than fundamental value. Upbit has implemented trading controls to stabilize early trading, and users are advised to use the Solana network for deposits and withdrawals. Dogwifhat has also been listed on other major platforms like Robinhood and Coinbase, but it continues to face scrutiny and sharp price swings.
