Lisk, a blockchain platform launched in 2016, will shut down its own chain on October 31, 2026, making any LSK tokens left on it permanently inaccessible. Users must bridge their tokens to Ethereum via Superbridge or Lisk Bridge at least seven days before the shutdown to avoid losing access. The Lisk DAO plans to burn 100 million LSK tokens and dissolve its governance, reducing the token supply from 400 million to 300 million. Lisk is pivoting from a Layer-1 blockchain to a corporate treasury management platform operating on Ethereum and Base networks, with LSK becoming a loyalty token within this new system. Projects on Lisk Chain can optionally migrate to the Celo network.
