Lindian Resources has completed its first production blast at the Kangankunde Rare Earths Project in Malawi, marking the start of active mining. About 13,100 tonnes of material, including 5,500 tonnes of ore, were fragmented in the blast. Mining operations are underway with ore haulage and stockpile building ahead of the plant commissioning planned for late 2026. This milestone advances Lindian from developer to producer, with first production expected in the fourth quarter of 2026, supported by government backing and a fully funded project on schedule.
