The difference between message and transaction throughput is key, as many RPC calls do not result in ledger transactions. Despite lower throughput, XRPL infrastructure shows strong latency performance around 371ms, making it reliable for institutional payment and exchange use cases. The network is also expanding with multiple providers offering dedicated node services to improve stability and load handling.
