Keel Infrastructure has ceased all Bitcoin mining operations in the U.S. to repurpose its sites for artificial intelligence (AI) and high-performance computing (HPC) data centers. This transition caused Q2 revenue to drop 50% year-over-year to $30.4 million, with a net loss of $65 million, reflecting lower Bitcoin prices and mining activity. The company sold 1,085 BTC for $75 million and plans to liquidate its Bitcoin holdings entirely in 2026. While U.S. HPC data centers have not yet generated revenue, Keel is actively negotiating with potential tenants and progressing with permits, aiming to convert its former mining infrastructure into AI-focused facilities. Keel continues Bitcoin mining in Canada but is also pursuing HPC conversions there.
