HII expands welding automation at Ingalls Shipbuilding via partnership with HD Hyundai Heavy Industries.

HII and HD Hyundai Heavy Industries are piloting intelligent mechanized welding systems at HII’s Ingalls Shipbuilding to enhance automation and efficiency in ship production. This initiative builds on their 2025 partnership and aims to improve safety, quality control, and process efficiency in welding, a critical shipbuilding task.
