The protocol uses a Guardian Layer with a 2-of-2 multisignature system involving Hashi validators and a guardian to manage Bitcoin-backed activities within Sui's smart-contract ecosystem. Over 20 institutional partners from custody, lending, asset management, and other sectors have joined, supporting applications like lending, borrowing, credit markets, and structured products. This approach preserves Bitcoin's position on its native network while enabling financial functions through Sui smart contracts.
