Google lets users remove visible watermarks from AI-generated images, videos, and songs.

Google announced it will allow users to disable visible watermarks on AI-generated content such as images, videos, and songs, while keeping invisible SynthID watermarks and metadata for transparency. This feature will be available soon in Google's Gemini models and video editor Flow, with Search support coming later. The move balances creative freedom with the need to identify AI-generated media, and users can toggle the watermark on or off in settings. Google also introduced an open-source library, Credentio, for developers to embed validation in their apps.
