Glencore PLC reported an 86% increase in first-half earnings, driven by higher commodity prices and volatile energy markets. The company’s adjusted EBITDA rose to $10.11 billion from $5.43 billion a year earlier, with revenue up 49% to $174.4 billion. It announced an additional $1.5 billion shareholder return, including a special cash distribution and a share buyback, raising total 2026 returns to about $3.5 billion. Glencore also plans a secondary listing in Australia in October to expand its shareholder base and improve liquidity, with full-year adjusted earnings expected around $19.7 billion based on current commodity prices.
