GENFIT announced positive Phase 1b results for its experimental drug GNS561 combined with a MEK inhibitor in heavily pretreated patients with advanced cholangiocarcinoma (CCA) harboring KRAS mutations. The drug demonstrated a favorable safety and tolerability profile with no dose-limiting toxicities and showed early signs of anti-tumor activity, including disease stabilization in about half of the patients at 6 weeks. Based on these findings, GENFIT plans to expand the Phase 1b study with higher doses and proceed to Phase 2 in the second half of 2026, aiming to address the high unmet medical need in this aggressive cancer with limited treatment options.
