Frontier Power USA successfully closed a $263 million equity capital raise, exceeding its initial target, with investments from Cerberus Capital, Eos Energy, and Hudson Bay Capital. The funds will support the conversion and construction of the 200 MW / 800 MWh Blanquilla battery energy storage project in Texas, which uses Eos Z3 long-duration battery systems. FPUSA also acquired the Blanquilla project from Stella Energy Solutions and placed a $100 million purchase order with Eos for Phase 1 of the project. The company is finalizing offtake agreements and expects financing through equity and debt, aiming to expand its portfolio of utility-scale battery storage projects across the U.S.
