Aztec Labs has relaunched zk.money, a self-custodial wallet that enables private payments on the Aztec Network by hiding payment amounts, balances, and recipients. Users can deposit stablecoins DAI, USDC, and USDT from Ethereum, though USDC and USDT convert to DAI inside the wallet. While deposits remain publicly visible on Ethereum, subsequent transfers within zk.money are private. The wallet currently limits each deposit, payment, and withdrawal to under $2,500 and enforces a daily deposit cap of $50,000 as a safety measure during its early Alpha phase. The software has not been fully audited, and users should be aware of potential security risks. Aztec Labs plans to raise limits and support more assets in the future as confidence in the system grows.
