This atomic execution ensures that linked actions on L1 and L2 either complete together or revert together, eliminating the need for separate bridge transactions and reducing liquidity fragmentation across rollups. The EEZ project, developed by Gnosis and Zisk with Ethereum Foundation funding, aims to enable seamless cross-rollup interactions and is still in early development, with Gnosis Chain expected to be the first major EEZ rollup by late 2026 or early 2027. While this test is a technical milestone, the system is not yet ready for large-scale financial use and will continue evolving through 2027.
