Australia's largest MBR plant expands with DuPont MemCor system at Lower Molonglo Water Centre

The Lower Molonglo Water Quality Control Centre in Canberra, Australia's largest inland wastewater treatment plant, is upgrading with a new DuPont MemCor membrane bioreactor (MBR) system. This upgrade will increase treatment capacity to about 97 million liters per day, addressing growing demand from population growth and ensuring high-quality effluent discharge. The project, involving Icon Water and construction partners, aims to future-proof the facility with advanced membrane technology for long-term resilience. DuPont's MemCor MBR technology is known globally for efficiency and reliability, supporting water purification in over 100 countries.
