iShares Core Dividend Growth ETF lags peers with weak income and diluted large-cap exposure

The iShares Core Dividend Growth ETF (DGRO) has underperformed compared to SCHD and the S&P 500, rising about 10.4% since March versus 12.1% and 13.6% respectively. Its diluted large-cap exposure and low yield of around 1.89% make it less attractive, especially against a 3.50%-3.75% Fed rate. The fund's largest holding is Microsoft, but it lacks a clear defensive rotation focus, unlike SCHD which offers higher yield and more exposure to energy and staples. With inflation cooling and no new catalysts, DGRO may struggle to outperform going forward.
