The UK Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) has authorized MYQORZO (aficamten) for treating symptomatic obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (oHCM) in adults. Concurrently, the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) recommended aficamten for eligible patients in England and Wales as an add-on or alternative to standard treatments. This approval follows positive clinical trial results showing improved exercise capacity and manageable side effects. MYQORZO is expected to become available through the NHS later this year, offering a new treatment option for a serious heart condition affecting many patients.
