Commvault has introduced new security features for Microsoft 365 backups that help organizations detect hidden threats like malware and ransomware, identify sensitive data exposure, and ensure safe recovery by isolating clean recovery points. These tools improve resilience by enabling faster threat detection, better visibility into data risks, and reducing reinfection during recovery. The new capabilities, Threat Scan and Data Posture 360, will be available as paid add-ons in early 2027, helping enterprises protect and recover their Microsoft 365 data more effectively.
