Coinbase has put the DATA-USD trading pair into a 10-minute auction mode following the migration of the Story token to the new DATA ticker. During this auction, only limit orders are accepted to establish a fair opening price before regular trading begins. The migration completed on October 7, 2026, with holders receiving DATA tokens at a 1:1 ratio without fees. This auction process helps manage volatility and ensures the opening price reflects broad market interest rather than rapid trades.

Following the DATA token migration and auction event, DATA trades significantly lower on Pluang at Rp15, down 24.71% as of Oct 08, 2026 23:31 WIB, contrasting sharply with IP (Story) which is up 5.17% at Rp5,692. Despite DATA's much smaller market cap of Rp19.71M compared to IP's Rp1.92T, DATA holders tend to hold longer with a typical hold time of 56 days versus 28 days for IP.
