Campbell's cuts dividend 36% and launches $500M cost plan after profit drop

Campbell Soup Company reported a 37% drop in adjusted earnings per share to $0.39 and an 8% revenue decline to $2.14 billion in Q4, driven by inflation and supply-chain costs. The company cut its quarterly dividend by 36% to $0.25 to accelerate debt reduction and improve its balance sheet. It also announced a $500 million cost-saving program targeting fiscal 2030, while forecasting further declines in sales and earnings for fiscal 2027. CEO Mick Beekhuizen emphasized steps to improve growth, margins, and leverage to create long-term value.
