Bitcoin and Ether ETFs lose $1.2B as institutional crypto demand drops sharply.

Bitcoin and Ether exchange-traded funds (ETFs) saw combined outflows exceeding $1.2 billion in the week through October 9, marking a sharp reversal in institutional demand. Bitcoin ETFs lost $681 million, ending a three-week inflow streak, while Ether ETFs faced their largest weekly withdrawal since January with $542 million outflows. Solana ETFs also broke a 14-week inflow streak, signaling broader risk-off sentiment amid rising oil prices, higher Treasury yields, and renewed inflation concerns. However, XRP and NEAR ETFs bucked the trend with modest inflows. The key question now is whether Blackrock-led Bitcoin buying can reignite institutional interest in crypto markets.

Bitcoin and Ether ETFs outflows are reported through October 9.
