BioLineRx has initiated a Phase 1/2a clinical trial for GLIX1, an oral small molecule designed to activate TET2 and target DNA damage response in glioblastoma (GBM) and other cancers. GLIX1 showed strong anti-tumor effects and good brain penetration in preclinical studies, addressing the urgent need for better GBM treatments. The trial will enroll up to 30 patients initially to determine safety and dosage, with results expected in the first half of 2027. This study is led by top glioblastoma researchers at NYU Langone Health, Northwestern University, and Moffit Cancer Center.
