The legacy transaction system was vulnerable due to a flaw in the Zilliqa Ledger app that compromised private keys by generating weak signatures. Binance will handle the migration process for its users, suspending legacy network deposits and withdrawals while keeping trading unaffected. Zilliqa is also providing a zero knowledge proof migration tool for self-custody holders to securely move their balances to the EVM network. This move finalizes Zilliqa's transition to the more secure EVM environment as its sole production network, aiming to prevent further security risks from the legacy system.
