The upgrade also changes validator requirements by reducing minimum staking duration from two weeks to 48 hours and increasing uptime requirements for new validation periods from 80% to 90%. Additionally, it replaces the fixed minimum gas price with a dynamic floor governed by validators and begins a 90-day phase-in to lower the minimum consumption rate from 10% to 7.5%. These changes aim to enhance network efficiency and validator flexibility.
