Bitcoin ETFs can buy more BTC daily than miners produce, but this doesn't guarantee price rises.

Bitcoin miners produce about 450 new BTC daily, but Bitcoin ETFs can attract demand to buy several thousand BTC in one day, exceeding new supply. ETFs obtain Bitcoin from existing holders and markets, not directly from miners, so high ETF demand doesn't cause immediate shortages. While sustained ETF buying can push prices up if sellers hold back, price increases depend on broader market dynamics and willingness of holders to sell. Thus, ETF inflows alone don't guarantee Bitcoin price rises.

The story on Bitcoin ETFs buying more BTC than miners produce is presented here with a snapshot of Pluang's cryptocurrency market. For readers following major cryptocurrencies, as of Oct 12, 2026 22:21 WIB, 16 out of 50 major cryptocurrencies rose while 33 fell. Among them, Tezos (XTZ) gained 4.36% with 100% buy orders, contrasting with The Graph (GRT) which dropped 4.56% with 77% sell orders, and Theta Network (THETA) which fell 4.21% with 72% buy orders.
