Algorand leads with 140K+ live quantum-resistant transactions; Sei Network still drafting its solution.

Algorand has already implemented Falcon post-quantum cryptography on its mainnet since November 2025, processing over 140,000 quantum-resistant transactions. This gives Algorand a significant lead in the race against quantum computing threats compared to Sei Network, which currently has only a draft proposal (SIP-5) for quantum resistance that is not yet live. Algorand plans to extend quantum resistance across its protocol by the end of 2027, while Sei's proposal focuses on user continuity but faces challenges like increased bandwidth demands. Algorand's early deployment positions it strongly for attracting institutional trust and long-term security assurance in the crypto space.
