Bitcoin struggles to recover as $760M ETF outflows and whale selling pressure mount near $88K breakeven.

Bitcoin's price recovery faces challenges as recent buyers need prices near $88,000 to break even, while those holding for 1-2 years require nearly $99,500. U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs have seen $760 million in outflows since early October, reversing strong inflows from last month and adding selling pressure. Meanwhile, large Bitcoin holders (whales) are increasingly withdrawing coins from exchanges, which could reduce short-term selling but doesn't guarantee accumulation. The balance between ETF outflows returning Bitcoin to the market and whale withdrawals will be key to near-term price stability. Without renewed ETF buying or private accumulation offsetting institutional selling, Bitcoin's recovery remains uncertain.

As of Oct 15, 2026 23:21 WIB, Bitcoin trades at Rp1.476.432.651 on Pluang, showing a modest 0.89% gain in the past day. Despite this slight uptick, the market remains cautious with a nearly balanced order activity of 49% sell and 51% buy, reflecting uncertainty amid ETF outflows and whale movements. Bitcoin's circulating supply on Pluang is close to its maximum at 20.1 million out of 21 million BTC, underscoring limited new supply as whales withdraw coins from exchanges.
