Air Products has signed an agreement to design, build, and operate Malaysia's first LNG-based Air Separation Unit (ASU) at the Pengerang LNG regasification terminal in Johor. The new facility will produce over 600 tonnes of liquid oxygen, nitrogen, and argon daily and is expected to start operations by early 2027. This project enhances energy efficiency by using cold energy from LNG regasification, reducing emissions and supporting key industries like electronics, petrochemicals, and aerospace in Southern and Central Malaysia. It marks Air Products' fifth LNG-based ASU in Asia and strengthens its long-term commitment to Malaysia's industrial growth and lower-emission development.
