Aerodrome Finance has launched a $400,000 public bug bounty contest through Sherlock’s Audit Engine to find vulnerabilities in its upcoming Aero upgrade. The three-week contest starts August 31 and is the final security review before the upgrade goes live on the Base mainnet in September. The Aero upgrade introduces new economic mechanisms to better align liquidity provider rewards with actual trading fees, and it integrates infrastructure from the recent Aerodrome-Velodrome merger. Prior private audits found no critical issues, making this public contest the last major check before launch.
