Adecoagro S.A. has agreed to acquire the Caarapó Mill in Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil, from Raízen Group for approximately R$760 million (US$148 million). The mill processed about 3.5 million tons of sugarcane in the 2025/26 season and produces sugar, ethanol, and renewable energy. This acquisition aligns with Adecoagro's strategy to expand its regional footprint and integrate operations with nearby mills to boost efficiency and production capacity. The deal is pending regulatory approval and expected to close by October 1, 2026, enhancing Adecoagro's position as a low-cost producer in the sugar and ethanol industry.
