Did Contracts and Pending Transactions From the BETA App Carry Over After Updating?

Yes — updating the app to the public version never affected any contract you held or any transaction still in progress. Nothing was lost in the migration: existing options contracts and pending transactions carried across intact and remained visible in your portfolio and transaction history exactly as before. No action was required on your side, and there was no need to close positions before updating or to re-enter anything afterwards. The update changed the app's features, not your holdings — it added the order book, the "Low Liquidity" label, and the 5-second contract price refresh, while leaving positions, order status, and history untouched. This question is now historical: the BETA programme has concluded and everyone is on the public version, so there is no pending migration for anyone to prepare for.

What happened to BETA-era positions:

  • Contracts carried over intact: any options contract you held before the update remained yours afterwards, on the same terms.
  • Pending transactions were preserved: transactions still in progress at the time of the update were not cancelled or reset.
  • Still visible where you expect: both appeared in your portfolio and transaction history after the update, unchanged.
  • No user action was needed: there was no requirement to close positions first, re-place orders, or migrate anything manually.
  • Features changed, holdings didn't: the update added the order book, Low Liquidity labelling, and the 5-second price refresh without touching positions or order status.
  • Historical only: the BETA programme has concluded, so no further migration is pending.

Related questions:

Q: Was there any risk of losing an options position during the update?
No. Positions and pending transactions were held at the account level rather than inside the app itself, so updating the app version did not put them at risk. Contracts and in-progress transactions carried over unchanged and stayed visible in your portfolio and transaction history. If you ever find a position you expected is not showing where you expect it, that is not a migration effect and is worth raising with Pluang support directly.

Q: Did I need to do anything before updating from the BETA app?
No. There was no preparation step — no requirement to close open contracts, cancel pending orders, or record anything before updating, and nothing to re-enter afterwards. The update was purely a change to the app's features and interface. Since the BETA programme has now concluded, this is no longer a decision anyone faces. Anyone joining Options now simply starts on the public version with all of its features enabled.

Q: Can I still access the BETA version of the app?
No. The BETA programme has ended and Options is a publicly released product, so there is no BETA build to install or revert to. All users are on the public version, which includes the order book, the Low Liquidity label, and the 5-second contract price refresh as standard features. There is also nothing to gain from it, since the public version is a strict superset of the BETA feature set.
