PT Voksel Electric Tbk (the Company) was established on April 19, 1971, the Company started its commercial operations in 1973. In developing the products diversification, the Company had engaged a support in technology with Showa Electric Wire & Cable Co., Ltd., Japan by entering into the technical collaborating agreement in the following years : 1975 Enameled Wire (known as wire for Dynamo/Trafo)1982 XLPE Power Cable (the Company was pioneer in Indonesia in manufacturing the cables for rural electricity development project)1986 Copper Telecommunication Cable 1992 Medium Voltage Power Cable 1996 Optical Fiber Telecommunication CableIn 1989, the Company became a joint venture foreign investment company after Showa Electric Wire & Cable Co., Ltd., developed the cooperation agreement by being one of the Companys shareholders.

PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk (Perseroan) established under Act No. 19 of 1960 jo Government Regulation No. 64 year 1961 on Establishment of State Company/PN Widjaja Karja March 29, 1961. Based on Government Regulation No. 64, the building company previously owned by Dutch named Naamloze Vennootschap Technische Handel Maatschappij en Bouwbedrijf Vis en Co. which has been subject to nationalization, was merged into the PN Widjaja Karja.Based on Goverment Regulation No. 40 dated July 22, 1971 PN. Widjaja Karja declared dissolved and transformed into Limited Liability Company (PERSERO).
