Can I open a Long position and a Short position on the same contract?

At Pluang, you cannot open Long and Short positions at the same time on the same contract.

If you already have a Long position in one of the Crypto Futures contracts, opening a Short position for the same contract pair will only close the Long position by the amount of the Short position you opened. If you open a Short position that is larger than your current Long position, your Long position will be closed and a new Short position will be opened by the difference between the Short and Long positions.

If you find your “Margin Required” becomes 0 when you are about to open a Short position, it means that you are opening a Short position with a smaller nominal value than your Long position.

Meanwhile, the “Your Position” section will only read your net position after opening the last position.
