The XRP Ledger Foundation has introduced a draft standard for AMM v2, aiming to enhance the decentralized exchange (DEX) on the XRP Ledger by allowing liquidity pools to use multiple pricing curve models. This upgrade moves beyond the current constant product model to include StableSwap and Concentrated Liquidity curves, improving liquidity, pricing stability, and capital efficiency for assets like stablecoins, FX pairs, and real-world assets. The new design supports more targeted capital deployment by liquidity providers and aims to deepen liquidity and reduce slippage, benefiting institutional DeFi and tokenization efforts. The proposal is under review and, if adopted, will expand XRPL DEX functionality significantly.
