
WeRoad, a Milan-based group travel startup, secured $58 million in Series C funding led by Airbnb to fund its first major expansion outside Europe, starting with Austin, Texas. The company focuses on creating social travel experiences for Millennials and Gen Z by grouping travelers with shared interests and using group leaders to foster real connections. Beyond travel, WeRoad launched WeMeet, an app for local in-person social events, which will support its U.S. growth strategy. With over 300,000 customers served and €130 million revenue in 2025, WeRoad aims to tap into the growing demand for offline social interaction amid rising loneliness concerns.
