WattEV announced an order for 370 Tesla Semi Class 8 electric trucks, marking the largest electric truck deployment in California. The first 50 trucks will be delivered starting in 2026, with full fleet operation by the end of 2027. Supported by a partnership with the Port of Oakland, WattEV is also building a network of fast-charging stations across Northern and Central California to support this fleet, aiming for nationwide expansion. This move positions WattEV as a key player in the shift to cost-effective, electrified long-haul freight transport, leveraging lower energy costs and advanced logistics to challenge diesel economics.
