RemitBee, a Canadian fintech founded by immigrants, has partnered with Visa Canada to enhance its cross-border payment services. This collaboration leverages Visa Direct to enable real-time transfers to bank accounts, digital wallets, and Visa cards in over 190 countries, improving speed, security, and reach. The partnership supports Canada's large immigrant community, which sent over CAD 26.7 billion in remittances in 2025, and strengthens the domestic fintech ecosystem by offering a Canadian-built alternative in a market dominated by foreign players. This alliance also allows credit unions and regional operators to access RemitBee's network through a single integration, expanding financial inclusion and connectivity globally.
